GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — The Americana at Brand in Glendale started preparation for the holiday season Tuesday with the arrival of an over 100-foot, white fir Christmas tree.

The tree, shipped from Mt. Shasta, arrived on a flatbed truck and was hoisted in place by a giant crane.

Before its debut next month, the tree will be decorated with 10,000 lights and 15,000 ornaments.

The tree will be the center piece at the holiday Christmas show on Nov. 18 at 889 Americana Way in Glendale.
