2 Juvenile Great White Sharks Caught Off Manhattan Beach Pier

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Two juvenile great white sharks were caught by fishermen in the South Bay Tuesday.

The prevalence of squid in those waters is what may be attracting juvenile sharks, according to Eric Martin, director of the Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium.

Both sharks were caught off the Manhattan Beach Pier.

They were released in accordance with California's law forbidding fishermen from landing sharks they catch.
