LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One man was killed and a second wounded when gunfire erupted at a Halloween party in South Los Angeles.

The shootings in the 600 block of East 83rd Street occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The fatally injured man was shot several times in the head, neck and back. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

A second victim was also shot. His condition, however, was not immediately known.

No immediate arrests were made.
