HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say seven people were injured when a limousine plunged down an embankment in Hollywood.
The crash was reported at 7:53 a.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of West Cerritos Place, according to LAFD Spokesman Erik Scott.
Officials say the limousine driver struck a parked car and both vehicles fell about 30 feet.
Authorities believe the accident was caused by operator error. They told KNX 1070 Ed Mertz that the driver thought he was in reverse when he was actually in drive.
Five of the seven injured were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, Scott said.
