Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 26)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Wind and Red Flag warnings are in effect this morning. The winds are howling in our mountain communities from Santa Clarita to San Bernardino, and even down into the Santa Monica Mountain Range.

Those gusts are bleeding down into some valley spots like Simi Valley and the Conejo Valley, as well as portions of the Inland Empire. The worst of the gusts range from 55 to 61 mph so far.

This event will peak this morning, and then later on this afternoon, the winds will relax. There will be some localized spots overnight tonight and early tomorrow morning that will be still quite gusty, but not nearly as bad.

The dry conditions over the next three days will keep us with high fire danger, however, the Red Flag Warning expires Saturday. You can expect a couple of degrees of warming today and we will stay warm into the weekend before a cool down next week.

We should see the return of the marine layer and below average temps in the 70s by Wednesday.

Coast - low 80s
Basin - low to mid 80s
Valleys - mid 80s
Deserts - low 70s
Mountains - low 60s
