Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen Allegedly Tried To Have Her Abducted

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — A Laguna Hills man, who was out on bail on charges of sexually assaulting a teenage girl, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of trying to hire someone to abduct the alleged victim.

Jesus Acosta-Inchaorrondo, 58, was arrested on felony charges of rape, sodomy by force and criminal threats for an alleged Aug. 23 incident, according to authorities.

The suspect was released on Sept. 7 after posting $100,000 bail.

Costa Mesa police said the department was contacted by a man alleging Acosta-Inchaorrondo approached him about abducting the girl and taking her to Mexico.

An undercover detective met the suspect in a Lake Forest parking lot to set a price for the abduction.

The suspect, who is being held without bail for violating terms of his release, is expected in court Friday.
