It’s classic Italian inspired by simpler times and family gatherings. Brunos Trattoria is in the heart of Brea Downtown and comes to you from the creators of the highly successful Cha Cha’s Latin Kitchen by Peter Serantoni and Don Myers. The new eatery is named after Chef Peter’s mentor and father, Papa Bruno. Peter has translated his fond childhood memories of simple and rustic cooking in Venice, Italy, into a menu of many beloved dishes alongside favorite Italian foods.
The soul-satisfying Italian fare starts with appetizers from Pasta Fagioli, Insalata Tre Colori or Prosciutto di San Daniele. Pastas include Polpette, Capellini alla Checca and more. Plus you’ll find a host of entrees offered, such as Risotto all’Aragosta.
The relaxing ambiance is colored in warm hues with accents of amber glass and dark colored wood. Exposed brick and flickering candlelight create a charmed backdrop for diners to enjoy a lively, yet leisurely dinner with friends and family or an intimate date night out.
For drinks, Bruno’s serves cocktails from Bellinis to Manhattans to Fragolas, plus there is a broad selection of affordable Italian and Californian wines. Each bottle of wine shares the same price point to make the selection process simple and encourage guests to be adventurous.
For dessert? Tiramisu is a favorite, of course.
