Man, 47, Stabbed To Death In Altadena
ALTADENA (CBS) — Officials say a 47-year-old man was stabbed to death Saturday afternoon in Altadena.
The fatal stabbing was reported at 1:27 p.m. in the 900 block of Mariposa Street, said Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to a hospital where he died, Saldana said.
The man was found lying on the sidewalk in front of the apartment building. Authorities said the man was declared dead after 5 p.m.
Late Saturday, police announced they arrested the man's 55-year-old wife for the murder.
A knife believed to be the murder weapon was recovered in the couple's apartment.
The cause of the stabbing is under investigation, said authorities.
