Man Critical After Being Shot Outside South El Monte Apartment Complex
SOUTH EL MONTE (CBS) — A man was in critical condition after being shot outside a South El Monte apartment complex late Thursday afternoon.
The shooting, which may have involved a car wreck, was reported in the 2400 block of North Continental Avenue shortly after 5 p.m., sheriff's Sgt. Tom Harris said.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to County-USC Medical Center in critical condition, he said. The suspect is at large.
Detectives at the scene picked up bullet shells in a carport behind the complex.
