STEVENSON RANCH (CBSLA.com) — A sewer main rupture in the Stevenson Ranch-Valencia area prompted officials to close a road due to heavy flooding.

The California Highway Patrol shut down the northbound portion of The Old Road at Calgrove Road on Saturday morning.

The rupture at The Old Road and Chiquella Lane was reported 9:01 a.m.

A Caltrans crew and the county Department of Public Works have been called to the scene.

The road closure was in a commercial area just southwest of the Lyons Avenue interchange on the 5 Freeway.

No further information was immediately available.
