Murrieta Police Nab Alleged iPad Robber

MURRIETA (CBS) — Officials say they have arrested a man who allegedly ran off with almost $1,200 in Apple iPads from a Super Target department store last month.

Detectives nabbed Joshua Danielson, 27, at his Woodbridge Avenue home Friday.

Authorities believe Danielson is the suspect who bolted from the Target store Sept. 27 with two of the electronic items, said Murrieta Police Sgt. Jay Froboese.

Danielson allegedly punched a store clerk in the face during a struggle over an iPad tablet. The electronic device fell to the floor after Danielson allegedly tried grabbing it from a display case, Froboese said.

Police allege Danielson then took a second iPad tablet from the display case and ran.

Danielson posted $30,000 bail Friday night.

He is accused of second degree robbery and second degree burglary, according to jail records.
