Newport Beach Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering His Wife
NEWPORT BEACH (CBS) — A Orange County man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his missing wife, Newport Beach police announced Friday.
Peter Chadwick is being held on suspicion of homicide in the disappearance of 46-year-old Quee “Q.C.” Chadwick, officials said.
The investigation into her disappearance began Wednesday evening when a neighbor called police to request a welfare check on the Chadwicks after their children were not picked up from school, police said.
Officers saw signs of a struggle and “possible foul play” in the home, police said.
Early Thursday, Peter Chadwick called San Diego police asking for assistance for an unknown reason, according to officials.
He was later arrested by Newport Beach police and is being held on $1.5 million bail. Investigators are looking into Chadwick’s whereabouts in the hours leading up to his arrest.
Anyone with information was asked to call Newport Beach police at (800) 550-NBPD.
