LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One person was injured Friday morning when a boat caught fire several miles offshore from the Port of Los Angeles.
When fire boats arrived at the scene around 8:30 a.m., the blaze aboard the 32-foot vessel had already been extinguished, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The U.S. Coast Guard was notified and the vessel was brought ashore, authorities said.
The injured person was transported to San Pedro Peninsula Hospital.
The incident was under investigation.
