EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (CBSLA.com) – Kobe Bryant has returned to practice after missing Wednesday night’s preseason game against the Portland Blazers at Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, California with a an injured shoulder.
It was Mike Brown’s decision Wednesday to not to play Bryant after Gary Vitti informed him about the sprain bothering Bryant.
Bryant returned to practice Thursday, but worked out very lightly.
“He had his jersey on and everything,” Brown said after Thursdays practice. “But I knew today was more of a mental day so I didn’t even really ask (Gary Vitti) what he could and couldn’t do.”
Bryant injured his shoulder during Tuesdays practice, saying it hurt very badly that night.
Brown expects Bryant to play Saturday night at Staples center against Utah Jazz.
