PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Out of 900 of the Pasadena area’s most accomplished young ladies, seven have been chosen to make up the 2013 Tournament of Roses’ Royal Court.
The seven Rose Princesses, who are all 17 years old, are: Kathryne Alice Benuska, of Maranatha High School; Tracy Italia Cresta of La Salle High School; Vanessa Natalie Manjarrez of Mayfield Senior School; Victoria Sophia McGregor of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy; Nicole Cherie Nelam of Pasadena High School; Sonia Marie Shenoi of San Marino High School and Madison Michelle Barili Teodo of La Cañada High School.
“These seven young women are each exceptional and we are thrilled that they will be representing the Tournament of Roses,” said Joan Madsen, Chair of the Queen and Court Committee, in a statement.
Chief among the Rose Court’s duties will be appearing in the 124th annual Rose Parade and the 99th annual Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1. Before then, the princesses will be on attendance at more than 150 community and media events.
The Rose Queen will be selected from the seven Royal Court Princesses on Oct. 16.
