SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Saturday were investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal motorcycle crash in Santa Clarita.

A statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the collision at Alta Knoll Drive south of Elder Creek Drive occurred about 6 p.m. Friday.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash was asked to call sheriff’s Detective Travis Kelly at (661) 255-1121.
