EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers sat during Friday mornings practice due to an injury on his left foot.

Mike Brown said the Lakers training style is taking care of it and they don’t believe it’s anything serious.

Bryant, who is entering his 17th season, is expected to practice in the afternoon session as part of their double training camp practices in El Segundo.

Bryant also revealed that he did not have the procedure done on his knee as he did last year in Germany.

The Lakers’ first preseason game will be in Fresno on Sunday October 8th against Golden State.

Center Dwight Howard is looking like he will be ready for the season opener against Dallas.
