Police Find Elderly Man With Dementia In Northridge

UPDATE 8:37 p.m.: Police found Hernandez safe and sound.

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — An elderly man with dementia from Northridge has been missing since Monday afternoon.

Police said Maximino "Max" Hernandez, 85, walked away from an adult day care center at 10100 Balboa Boulevard around 1 p.m.

Hernandez, who needs medication, is described as Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 150 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a brown Fedora hat, a grey shirt, dark pants and eye glasses.

Hernandez has been known to ride public transportation. He speaks Spanish, but understands English.
