IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — Orange County may be a long way from Carmageddon II, but traffic on the San Diego (405) Freeway was snarled Sunday nonetheless.
The driver of a silver Honda Accord steered onto a freeway off-ramp, which was leading other cars from the southbound 405 to Jamboree Road, a county fire dispatcher said.
The car collided with another vehicle, blocking traffic from many of the lanes adjacent to John Wayne International Airport.
Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after noon.
No one was seriously injured.
