VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Sunday continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Van Nuys.
Los Angeles police said in a statement that the accident on Saturday night occurred on Victory Boulevard at the intersection of Sylmar Avenue.
According to the statement, a 2011 BMW 335i headed west on Victory struck the pedestrian, who died at the scene.
Authorities say the 20-year-old driver remained at the scene and was questioned. He was not immediately cited in connection with the crash, pending an investigation.
The name of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
