COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Saturday were investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man in Compton.

The incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at East Myrrh and South Atlantic Avenue.

A statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was immediately available.
