ARROW BEAR (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly committing sex acts with 6-month-old girl, who sustained injuries to her genitalia, authorities reported.

Carey Trevon Thomas, of Arrow Bear, was taken into custody after Loma Linda Children’s Hospital reported the baby’s injuries to police, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.

Thomas was being held at the Central Detention Center on $500,000 bail.

Investigators did not specify Thomas’ relationship to the victim.

The suspect used to volunteer at a kindergarten classroom at the Living Springs Christian School, which has since been closed.
