Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 27)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We can expect on more day of mild weather before we start warming things up.

The on-shore flow is still the dominant feature this morning...we will some patchy low clouds in the coastal plain. Daytime highs will still be running a couple of degrees below average.

Enjoy it...because the heat is coming back. We are also watching for the possibility of some remnants of Hurricane Miriam to move through the area tomorrow and Saturday. It should just be some clouds, but we can't rule out a stray shower.

By Friday, high pressure begins to build back into the area. It will be a gradual warm up, however by Sunday the ridge of high pressure balloons up into the Pacific Northwest creating a decent off-shore flow that will give us daytime highs in the 90s downtown...and 100s for the valleys.

This pattern stays in place through the beginning of next week...before backing off for the end of the week. Nevertheless after today...we can expect above average temperatures for quite a while.

Coast-low to mid 70s
Basin-low 80s
Valleys-low 90s
Deserts-low 90s
Mountains-low 70s
