Woman Comes Home To Burglary In Progress In Oxnard

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for two men who burglarized a Ventura County home, stealing jewelry and money.

The burglary happened around 12:30 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Azalea Street in Oxnard, police said.

The female victim arrived home to the burglary in progress and saw a suspect inside her residence, officials said.

"The victim called the police and the suspect fled," Det. Hannah Estrada said. "While on the phone with the police, the victim saw a second suspect inside her residence. Suspect two fled the scene prior to officers' arrival."

The suspects are described as two black males. The first suspect, who is believed to be in his 30s, has black hair with braids and a pronounced scar on the left side of his face. He was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and plaid shorts.

The second suspect is described only as a black male wearing a white T-shirt.
