LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — LA Lakers forward Jordan Hill is expected to enter a plea Thursday morning to an assault charge on a former girlfriend.
Hill, who signed a 2-year extension with the Lakers, is facing felony charges for allegedly choking his then-girlfriend, while playing with the Houston Rockets.
Hill is expected to enter the plea in a Houston court.
“He’s very eager to get this behind him and concentrate on playing basketball,” said Hill’s attorney to the LA Times.
Hill’s ex-girlfriend is also expected to give a victim impact statement in court.
The Lakers begin training camp on October 2nd.
