LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Construction crews continued this weekend to make final arrangements in preparation of “Carmageddon II.”
As of 10 p.m. Friday, workers closed Mulholland Drive from the west side of the bridge to Casiano Road to allow contractors to realign, repave and restripe the roadway.
City News Service reports that the Mulholland Drive/Skirball Center Drive ramps to-and-from the 405 Freeway are expected to remain open.
Crews expected to have the roadway reopened by 6 a.m. Monday.
“Carmageddon II” is scheduled for Sept. 29-30. The 53-hour closure will allow for the demolition of the north side of the bridge.
