BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A homeless man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly exposing himself to a 16-year-old girl and then attempting to kidnap her in Burbank.
Police said the incident happened around 7 a.m. on Keystone Street and Magnolia Boulevard while the girl was walking to John Burroughs High School.
Hino Youkhana, 54, was inside his car when he reportedly exposed himself and ordered the victim into his vehicle.
Authorities said the suspect began to chase the girl when she tried to walk away.
The 16-year-old was able to get Youkhana’s license plate number while fleeing and gave that information to officers, according to the Burbank Police Department.
Police found the suspect and took him into custody for suspicion of indecent exposure and attempted kidnapping.
He was booked on $100,000 bail.
A relative of a possible second underage victim contacted authorities on Thursday, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
Anyone with information about the suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Green at (818) 238-3242.
