LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 35-year-old man suffered burns on more than 85 percent of his body Monday when a fire ignited inside an apartment in Koreatown.
Firefighters were called to 504 S. Normandie Avenue, near Fifth Street, at 8:14 p.m., LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Humphrey said firefighters knocked down the blaze in 21 minutes.
A 50-year-old man reportedly suffered a foot injury and a young woman experienced minor respiratory distress in the blaze.
The 35-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition, Humphrey said.
Authorities haven’t yet determined the cause of the fire.
