Prowling, Peeping Suspect Arrested In Cypress Holding Video Camera

CYPRESS (CBSLA.com) — Cypress police responding to a call of a possible prowler arrived on scene to find a suspect -- holding a video camera --hiding between two parked vehicles.

Officers dispatched to the 9800 block of Newcastle Lane reportedly found their suspect at approximately 12:59 a.m. on September 15.

Police believe he used the video camera to peep on women in various states of dress.

Scott was placed under arrest for prowling and peeping. He was taken into custody without incident.

Cypress detectives immediately began an investigation, which later led to a search warrant of the suspect's residence, located in the same neighborhood.

During the service of the search warrant, numerous digital photographs were located which depicted young women and girls in various degrees of clothing. All of the photographs appeared to have been taken from a vantage point of outside of the victims' residences.

In addition, approximately 46.4 grams of cocaine, 2.5 pounds of marijuana and $8,000 were also seized.

Scott was later transported to the Orange County Jail where he is being held on $200,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court at the West Justice Center on Monday.

Detectives said they will be working to identify potential victims located on the photos.
