SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A man suspected of fatally stabbing his girlfriend was brought back to Orange County Wednesday after police arrested the Laguna Hills resident in Arizona.
Derek Henry Pinski, 24, was arrested earlier this month in Mesa, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on a murder charge with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon.
On Sept. 1, Pinski allegedly stabbed his 24-year-old girlfriend, Alexandra Tang, while she was visiting him in Laguna Hills. Tang had driven from Santa Barbara, where the two had met as students at UC Santa Barbara.
Pinksi then drove to his father’s home in Arizona, where he was arrested that same day.
