REDLANDS (CBSLA.com) — Redlands firefighters rescued two kittens from a burning garage Saturday.
Officials responded to a call around 10:20 a.m. and found a detached garage in the 900 block of Sixth Street engulfed.
Two kittens were rescued from the burning structure.
Authorities say they were turned over to Redlands Animal Control.
They will be cared for and then put up for adoption.
It took 16 firefighters about 15 minutes to fully extinguish the blaze, according to the Redlands Fire Department.
Damage was estimated at $25,000. Loss of property inside the garage was estimated at $10,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
