One Direction, Chris Brown Big Winners At MTV Video Music Awards

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The British boy band One Direction won three Moonmen at Thursday night's MTV Video Music Awards at Staples Center, while Rihanna won the top honor, Video of the Year, for "We Found Love."

One Direction won for Best New Artist, voted on live throughout the show, and Best Pop Video, and the new fan-voted social media category, Most Share-Worthy Video, both for "What Makes You Beautiful."

Chris Brown and M.I.A. both won two Moonmen.

Brown won Best Male Video and Best Choreography for "Turn up the Music." M.I.A. won for Best Direction and Best Cinematography for "Bad Girls."

Rihanna and Drake both had five nominations, with both winning one award. Drake won for Best Hip-Hop Video for "HYFR," which featured Lil Wayne.
