INDIO (CBSLA.com) — Two men were being sought on Friday in connection with the theft of a bronze sculpture from a senior center in Indio.
The incident at the Indio Senior Center occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.
According to police, two men in a Nissan Maxima initially rammed the 3-foot tall sculpture depicting a boy, girl and a dog.
The sculpture was then put in the trunk of the car, described as a gold or silver early 2000s sedan.
That car was last seen heading north on Aladdin Street, police said.
