2 Kids Critically Injured After Being Struck By Car

SAN FERNANDO (CBS) — Two children were critically injured Friday evening after they were struck by a car in San Fernando.

Both children were transported to a local trauma center, according to authorities.

Erik Scott, of the Los Angeles Fire Department, says the LAFD, LAPD and Department of Transportation are assisting at the scene.

The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. at the  2600 block of San Fernando Road near Glassell Park.

It was unclear if the accident involved a hit-and-run driver.

The ages of the children was also not released.
