LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The southbound 405 freeway is expected to close through the Sepulveda pass Saturday night.
The freeway is scheduled to shut down from the 101 freeway to Getty Center Drive starting at 11 p.m. It’s expected to reopen 9 a.m. Sunday.
The northbound side of the 405 will be closed at 11 p.m. on Sept. 15 until 9 a.m. the next day.
The Mulholland bridge will be closed Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. until Sept. 16 at 8 a.m.
The closures allow Metro to prepare for the demolition of the remaining half of the bridge.
“Carmageddon II” begins the weekend of Sept. 29. All lanes of the 405 in both directions will be closed.
