LYNWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police pursued an armed suspect Thursday who is believed to have dumped a woman’s body near a freeway in Lynwood.

The car chase started around Atlantic Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near the 105 and 710 freeways.

Sheriff’s report the woman was left on Josephine Street and Harris Avenue.

After a brief chase, the suspect did a foot bail and ran to a nearby apartment.

Police have the suspect surrounded in Gardena.

Authorities first responded to a “man with a gun call.”
