Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 6)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We had a very interesting day Wednesday with the widespread moisture moving through the area. Locations picked up a trace of rain...a couple of spots got as much as .05". That's pretty good for this time of year.

There is still moisture moving through the atmosphere, however most of the cloud cover has cleared. You can expect an isolated shower or thunderstorm, mainly in the mountains drifting into the high desert.

Temperatures will still be comfortable in the basin...right around average. We'll see 90s in the valleys, but with the moist air mass, it's going to feel muggy out there again. Friday and Saturday the atmosphere dries out and warms up...expect sunny skies. By Sunday and Monday we will see the return of the monsoonal moisture...so humid again and a chance for a thunderstorm.

Coast-upper 70s
Basin-mid to upper 80s
Valleys-mid 90s
Deserts-mid 90s
Mountains-low 70s
