Man Arrested For Making Threats At Miramar Air Station Gates

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Marine Corps officials say a man has been arrested after driving up to an entry gate at its Miramar Air Station in San Diego and making threats to guards.

Marine Capt. Anton Semelroth says the incident happened after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

He says military officials closed the north gate as a precaution. The base has two other entrances that remained open.

San Diego police were searching the man's vehicle after arresting him.

The man's identity has not been released. Semelroth says he did not know if he was a member of the military and had no other details.
