EAGLE ROCK (CBSLA.com) — The 134 Freeway was shut down Tuesday afternoon due to a California Highway Patrol standoff with a pursuit suspect.
The high-speed chase began around 11:13 a.m. after a passenger in a white sedan called authorities to report her sister was driving erratically, CHP officials said.
At one point, the vehicle did stop, allowing the passenger to get out, officials said.
The driver then failed to yield to officers while continuing on the 405 Freeway. The pursuit continued onto the 110, 5 and 134 freeways before ending in Eagle Rock.
The suspect was taken into custody by CHP officers around 11:51 a.m.
