Man Wanted In Fatal Costa Mesa Stabbing

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public's help Tuesday to find a murder suspect accused of fatally stabbing a man at an Orange County home.

Adolph Mireless, 38, of Huntington Beach, is accused of murdering an unidentified 43-year-old man around 6 a.m.  at a home in the 1100 block of Atlanta Way, Costa Mesa police said.

Police say the victim was visiting his girlfriend at the home when he was confronted by Mireless.

Mireless, who was recently released from prison, also had a relationship with the woman, Lt. Tim Schennum said.

Police say there was a violent confrontation between the two men and at some point, Mireless armed himself with a knife.

"When officers arrived, they found the victim in the living room bleeding from several stab wounds and lacerations to the upper torso," Schennum said.

Mireless, who was identified by a witness, fled the scene in a gray 2011 Toyota Corolla with California license plate 6PGF988, Schennum said.

Anyone with information about Mireless' whereabouts is urged to call Costa Mesa police at (714) 754-5205.
