March Held For Los Angeles’ 231th Birthday

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles celebrates its 231th birthday Monday morning!

Celebrators will participate in the annual “Los Pobladores – Walk to Los Angeles”.

The event is a nine-mile walk from the Mission San Gabriel to Olvera Street to reenact the march done in 1781 by those who founded the “City of Angels.”

Live music, food and artists booth will be held at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Site.

Those looking to do a shorter three-mile walk can join the group at Lincoln Park at 3401 Valley Boulevard.
