Caught On Camera: Bold Thief Breaks Into Tarzana Furniture Store 3 Times

TARZANA (CBSLA.com) — The owners of a Tarzana furniture store that was allegedly burglarized last week are asking for the public's help in finding the culprit, who was caught on camera.

Todd and Angie Maidy said they haven't gotten much help from police after their store, Just Like Home Affordable Furniture, was broken into last Thursday.

Security video caught the suspect scoping the store for valuables and taking off with a flat screen television.

"He took a concrete rock and smashed our front window. He climbed in and scoped out our place with a flashlight, stole our company lap top, and stole a 47-inch television," said Angie.

The surveillance video also showed the burglar break in and drive off three times within 15 minutes.

"It was incredibly upsetting, it's violating to have someone in your own private place," said Todd.

The Maidy's said the damage to their door and stolen goods adds up to more than $3,000.

"It's a lot to a small company like us. We work really hard. We give everyone the bottom dollar pricing, so to have someone come in here and ransack us was overwhelming," said Angie.

The couple said this is the third burglary in the area in the past week.

"We are fearful that it could be the same person hitting up several businesses in the area," said Todd.

The Maidy's said they're posting the suspect's picture everywhere. They want the person caught before another small business is robbed.

"We need them to know that they can't do this to small companies. We are willing and are able to protect ourselves," said Angie.
