WINCHESTER (CBS) — Riverside County Sheriff’s detectives were investigating the slaying early Sunday of a 42-year-old man, sheriff’s officials wrote in a statement.
Deputies responded to a 12:40 a.m. call of shots fired in the 33000 block of Asbury Street. It was there that the victim — identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office as Winchester resident Glenn Cabral — was found on the road and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.
Cabral was killed by a single gun shot, said authorities.
No other information was immediately available regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.
Those with information about the murder were urged to call investigator Jim Peters of the sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit at (951) 955-2777. Tipsters also can call investigator John Wyatt of the sheriff’s Perris Station at (951) 210-1000.
