Security Video Leads Unemployed NorCal Man To Claim $52 M Lottery Jackpot

FREMONT (CBSLA.com) — Luck was on his side!

Bladimir Agnite had won a $52 million jackpot, but didn't know it.

Agnite bought the winning ticket at Kwik Stop in Fremont last month.

Lottery officials broadcasted security video from the northern California convenience store Thursday in hopes the father of three would come forward.

A relative contacted Agnite after seeing the video on the news, and the next day he claimed his winnings.

Agnite has been unemployed since he was laid off from a printing company about a year ago.

Agnite and his wife, who will continue to work as a nurse, said they plan to use the winnings to buy a house and put their children through college.

"It's not for us, it's for my kids," Agnite said.
