MEND, Meet Each Need with Dignity, is providing 220 third-grade students from Vaughn Next Century Learning Center dental and vision screenings, an exercise activity, arts and crafts, and new shoes.
The organization is holding two shifts, the first from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the second from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At the end of each shift, the students are given brand new backpacks donated by the Walt Disney Company and basic school supplies from the Ella Fitzerald Charitable Foundation.
