LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Kim Kardashian has settled her lawsuit against Old Navy for using what she claimed was a body double in commercials and implying that she endorsed the brand, her attorney confirmed Wednesday.
The reality TV star filed her lawsuit in July 2011 in federal court in Los Angeles. It accused the retailer of “unauthorized use of Kardashian’s name, likeness, identity and persona” in the spots, which aired early last year.
“The lawsuit has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties,” Kardashian attorney Gary A. Hecker said.
No other details about the settlement were immediately available.
Kardashian, who has a clothing deal with Sears, sought unspecified damages.
The Old Navy ads actually feature actress Melissa Molinaro, who is called “Kim” in the commercials, according to Kardashian.
