LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — At least one person was injured following a deputy-involved shooting in west Long Beach Wednesday.
The incident involving undercover sheriff’s deputies from Carson occurred around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Anaheim Street.
The suspects were driving in an older Ford Ranger pickup truck when the shooting happened.
The deputies appeared to have been following the truck.
One suspect was taken to the hospital.
It’s unknown if the second suspect was taken into custody.
Meantime, another deputy-involved shooting happened at Figueroa and 215th streets in Carson. The suspect was in a vehicle that ran into the side of a building.
