NORTH HOLLYWOOD ( — Approximately 40 people were arrested Wednesday in a major San Fernando Valley drug bust.

The raid took place early Wednesday morning at an auto repair shop in the 11600 block of Vanowen Street, Virginia Kice of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said.

According to authorities, the shop was being used to retrofit vehicles in order to smuggle massive amounts of cocaine and meth between the United States and Mexico.

Local and federal agencies are involved in the raid.

No additional details regarding the bust or the suspects were released by authorities.
