Thief Steals Gold Chain From 4-Year-Old Boy's Neck

LYNWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police were looking for a robbery suspect Tuesday who reportedly stole a gold chain off the neck of a 4-year-old boy.

The crime occurred on Aug. 20 in the 11400 block of Atlantic Avenue in Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said.

The boy and his sister were in front of a local laundry mat when "the suspect walked up to the boy, grabbed a hold of his chain, and pushed him to the ground, causing the chain to break," officials said in a statement.

The boy was scratched on his chin during the robbery, according to officials.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old. He has short black hair, brown eyes and a thin mustache.
