Police Search For Man Exposing Himself To Female Students In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public’s help Tuesday to identify a man who has exposed himself several times to girls as they walked to school.

There have been at least six confirmed incidents in which the suspect pulled up alongside middle- and high school-age girls, asking for directions, then exposed himself when they looked inside the car, police said.

Most of the reported incidents happened in May or June, but with school about to start in Long Beach next week, police want to remind students and their parents to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious people or activity by calling 911.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man with black hair, 20 to 40 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, about 160 pounds, wearing a hooded sweater with blue jeans in some of the incidents. He drove an older model 4-door black sedan with a boxy style, possibly a Honda Accord, with black and silver rims with a red or pinkish color on the rims or tires.

Anyone with information about the flasher can call Long Beach police Sex Crimes Detective Louis Galvan at (562) 570-7368.
